Curvessence Privacy Policy
Curvessence respects the privacy of Curvessence Style Consultants and their customers and has in place electronic systems and procedures that comply with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). The Privacy Policy explains our responsibility in safe guarding all personal information and assists you in understanding how we use and disclose your personal information and your options in relation to providing personal information. Please read this policy carefully.
By providing us with your personal information and/or accessing and/or using the Curvessence website, you consent and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out in this Privacy Policy.
‘Personal Information’ means any information or an opinion, whether it is true or not, about an individual whose identity is apparent, or can be reasonably ascertained, from the information or opinion.
The type of personal information we collect or which we may hold about you may include: name, address, telephone number(s), e-mail address, age, date of birth, driver’s licence details, credit card information, other payment information, transaction information, information on how you use our products and services, your User Name for social networking sites that you use, to refer to, or in conjunction with, our goods and services and personal preferences regarding products and services.
Collection and use of Personal information
Curvessence Style Consultants: the personal information you provide to Curvessence is primarily used to support and assist in building a business opportunity relationship with you.
Customers: the personal information you provide allows us to ensure that Curvessence products and the Curvessence Style Consultants meet the needs and expectations of their customers by providing the best possible customer experience.
Information may be collected, used and disclosed for a number of purposes connected with our business operations, which include:
- Providing our Style Consultants and their customers with the products and/or services requested;
- Dealing with requests, enquiries, complaints, consumer guarantee or warranty claims, and other customer/consultant care related activities;
- Marketing our products and services and providing advice on our products;
- Developing and improving our website, products and services and conducting market research;
- To administer our reward and recognition programmes and competitions;
- Payment processing;
- Carrying out any activity in connection with a governmental, legal, or regulatory requirement that we have to comply with, or in connection with legal proceedings, crime or fraud prevention, detection or prosecution.
- To enable your secure use of the Curvessence website.
- Allowing Style Consultants access to sponsors and downline data relevant to business development, training and coaching.
We may also use your personal information for other purposes related to those described above which would be reasonably expected by you.
Generally, you have no obligation to provide any information requested by us and, from time to time, you may be able to interact with us anonymously or by pseudonym. However, if you choose not to provide us with certain personal information, we are unlikely to be able to provide you with the goods and services that you want or carry on the other activities set out above.
Gathering your Personal Information
Customers:
We gather personal information in a number of ways including when you:
- Register as a customer through Online Registration;
- Attend a Pop Up Boutique;
- Order goods or services from us (either online or through a Curvessence Style Consultant);
- Subscribe to any of our e-marketing or e-promotions databases;
- Enter competitions or promotions that we may run;
- Provide us your details for customer care purposes;
- Complete surveys or provide online feedback or product reviews;
- Register or comment on our Social media sites/pages; and
- Browse one of our websites.
Style Consultants:
We gather personal information in a number of ways including when you:
- Complete the Curvessence Independent Style Consultant Agreement;
- Order goods or services from us (either online or through a Curvessence Style Consultant); and
- As required to process commission payments, incentives and rewards.
Website Information Gathering:
When visiting the Curvessence website to purchase, read, browse or download information, our system may record information such as the date and time of your visit to the website, your Internet Protocol address, your server address the pages accessed and any information downloaded. This information is used (i) for statistical and reporting purposes; (ii) for website administration, security and maintenance purposes; and (iii) to direct you to material on our websites that we believe will be of interest to you.
For statistical purposes we collect information on: website activity (such as the number of users who visit the websites); the date and time of visits; the number of pages viewed; navigation patterns; what country and what systems users have used to access the sites; and, when entering our websites from another website; the address of that website through the use of ‘cookies’.
Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your web browser (if you allow) that enables the sites or service providers systems to recognise your browser and capture and remember certain information.
You can configure your browser to accept all cookies, reject all cookies, or notify you when a cookie is set. Each browser is different; so check the ‘Help’ menu of your browser to learn how to change your cookie preferences.
If you reject all cookies, you will not be able to use our services that require you to ‘log on’, and you may not be able to take full advantage of all offerings. However, there may be some Curvessence products and services that do not require that you accept cookies.
This information on its own does not identify an individual but it does provide Curvessence with statistics that we can use to analyse and improve our websites and the Style Consultant and customer experience.
Sharing your Personal Information
Curvessence may disclose or receive personal information or documents about you to/from:
- Our service and product providers who assist us in providing our services, for example, mail and delivery service providers; payment processors; administration, archival and data storage providers; research and marketing, auditing, consulting, financial and legal advisory, banking, security or technical service providers. In some cases these service providers may collect your personal information on our behalf;
- Law enforcement agencies to assist in the prevention, investigation and prosecution of criminal activities;
- If required by law e.g. Australian Taxation Office;
- To other third parties where you have specifically consented to the disclosure of information to these third parties;
- If you are a Curvessence Style Consultant, to your sponsor, your downline and upline for the purpose of supporting your business, including assessing entitlements to compensation and to your customers (upon their request);
- If you are a Curvessence customer, your personal contact details may be provided to your identified Curvessence Style Consultant upon their request;
- Curvessence may on occasion share and publish Curvessence Style Consultant information (for example: name, photograph, sales results) to recognise Curvessence Style Consultant’s achievements and to inspire other Curvessence Style Consultants. These promotions will not contain personal information about customers;
- When a Curvessence Style Consultant or customer has consented to the disclosure of information;
- Debt collection agencies and other parties that assist with debt-recovery functions;
- Regulatory or government bodies for the purposes of resolving customer complaints or disputes both internally and externally or to comply with any investigation by one of these bodies; and
- Any other person for any other purposes that would be reasonably expected.
Curvessence does not rent, sell, or disclose any personal information. Personal information is only shared within Curvessence and to affiliated and trusted third parties who agree to comply with all necessary APP requirements. We may share anonymous information for marketing and advertising purposes.
Marketing and Promotional Materials
To support our Curvessence Style Consultants and Customers in accessing current promotional information, we will from time to time send out marketing materials such as promotional offers, new product releases, and relevant information about our services. Curvessence Style Consultants will automatically receive electronic communications.
If you would like to stop receiving any communications about our products and services, company information or promotional activities, such as competitions and surveys, you can opt out. If at any time you would like to stop receiving future emails, we include an unsubscribe link in each direct marketing email we send.
However, please be aware that Curvessence will still need to use your personal information to assist in the management of your account and purchases.
Security of your Personal Information
We take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information that we collect, use or disclose is accurate, complete, up-to-date and stored in a secure environment protected from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
In order to protect your personal information, we have implemented a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or enter, submit, or access your personal information.
Our website uses a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted, via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our payment gateway provider’s database only to be accessible by those authorised with special access rights to such systems, and required to keep the information confidential.
While we take great care to protect your personal information on our websites and use state-of-the-art data transmission encryption, unfortunately no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Accordingly, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information that you send to us or receive from us online. This is particularly true for information you send to us via email. We have no way of protecting that information until it reaches us. Once we receive your transmission, we use our best efforts to ensure its security in our possession.

These third party sites have their own privacy policies, which we strongly recommend you read. We have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these third party sites.
Access and Correction
You have a right to request access to the personal information we hold about you. We will grant you access to that information unless there is a permitted reason for not doing so. If there is a permitted reason for not doing so, we will provide you with a written explanation of the reasons for the refusal (unless it would be unreasonable to do so) and inform you of how you may complain about the refusal. We will respond to your request within a reasonable period and we may charge reasonable costs for actioning the request.
If you believe that your personal information may be inaccurate, out of date or incomplete, you can request us to update and correct the information. To make a correction request, please contact consultantsupport@curvessence.com.au or customercare@curvessence.com.au. We will respond to your request for correction within a reasonable period after you have made that request.
Privacy Complaints
If you consider that your privacy has been compromised, please contact consultantsupport@curvessence.com.au or customercare@curvessence.com.au, a member of our Customer Care Team will contact you within ten (10) business days to confirm receipt of your email. We will then investigate your complaint and provide you with our response to your complaint within a reasonable time. If, after receiving our response, you still consider that your privacy complaint has not been resolved, you may then, for example, take your complaint to the Australian Privacy Commissioner.
Amendments to this Privacy Policy
From time to time, we may amend this Privacy Policy and such amendments will be posted to this website. We may also send you notice of the amendments to this Privacy Policy by email or mail.
